Like many great things The Bronzer story begins with a great woman trying to make something better.
That woman was Sally Desancic, an institution in the Australian beauty industry, and creator of The Bronzer. The year was 1999, and Sally was working in the corporate beauty world for iconic brands, which she loved… except for one thing: the “unofficial” uniform. At the time skirts worn with pantyhose were the outfit du jour and she despised the fact that they made your legs look so tanned, when the rest of you was decidedly not tanned. Fake tans had just entered the market but they were smelly, messy, expensive, and too high maintenance.
